The Hampton Care Standard

Hair Care

Preserve the softness. Extend the life. Maintain the luxury.

Care Your Hair Will Remember

Our lighter shades have undergone additional processing to achieve their dimensional color. Proper moisture, gentle handling, and consistent care are essential to maintaining their softness, shine, movement, and longevity.

Everyday Care

01

Wash & Condition

Cleanse regularly with a sulfate-free shampoo and moisturizing conditioner. Use lukewarm water and avoid excessive manipulation.

02

Brush & Detangle

Always begin at the ends and gently work upward. Use a suitable brush or wide-tooth comb. Never force through tangles.

03

Moisturize

Use lightweight, nourishing products to maintain softness and hydration without creating excessive buildup.

04

Sleep Protected

Wrap or braid the hair before bed and use a satin or silk bonnet or pillowcase to reduce friction and tangling.

05

Dry Completely

Never sleep, tie up, or store the hair while it is wet or damp. Allow the extensions to dry completely.

06

Limit Heat

Avoid excessive heat. When heat styling is necessary, always use a heat protectant and allow the hair to recover between styles.

Avoid

What not to do

  • × Sleeping with wet or damp hair
  • × Leaving chlorine or saltwater in the hair
  • × Excessive heat
  • × Aggressive brushing or detangling
  • × Heavy product buildup
  • × Chemical processing without professional guidance
  • × Wearing severely tangled hair without addressing it

Water Exposure

Protect Your Investment

Chlorine, saltwater and prolonged moisture can cause dryness, tangling, matting, and color changes—especially with lighter or more processed hair.

Never leave chlorine or saltwater sitting in your extensions.

01

Rinse Immediately

Thoroughly rinse the hair with clean, fresh water.

02

Cleanse

Shampoo as soon as reasonably possible to remove chlorine, salt and other residue.

03

Deep Condition

Follow with a moisturizing conditioning treatment.

04

Detangle Gently

Work from the ends upward while the hair is conditioned.

05

Dry Completely

Do not sleep, tie up or store the hair while it is wet or damp.

06

Limit Heat

Avoid applying high heat immediately after exposure. Allow the hair to recover and use heat protectant.
